Andy’s heart is that people would enjoy listening to it and be blessed in their relationship with God. Many of the songs lend themselves really well to being used in church. There are seven or eight tracks that are used on a regular basis in King’s Lynn.

Samples of the twelve songs can be heard on a new website www.establishingmyheart.com, where chord sheets can be downloaded and the CD purchased for £9.00 including postage and packing.

In his day job, Andy works as a debt / money advisor in Cambridge for the C.A.B. He is married to Jenny who also sings on the album and has a daughter with another baby on the way. He recorded the album at home in the evenings.

He said: “I hope it sounds fresh and I hope it sounds different to a lot of other worship albums. I had a splurge of song writing at the end of 2010/beginning of 2011 when I wrote a few of the songs on the album and I thought now is the time. If I don’t do it now I don’t think I’ll ever get to do it so I took the plunge.”

On the 25th September 2011 we had our first prayer meeting for the town. The meetings were well attended, averaging around 20 people from Diss and around the region. with great times of worship and prophetic input.

After finishing our monthly meetings in February, we are starting to meet as small group in houses around Diss. We are having our first meeting together on the 3rd May (7.30pm) in Diss, and fortnightly from thereon.

As a part of this, the ‘This is Life’ (www.thisislife.org.uk) initiative teams up young volunteers attending Newday with local churches to help serve and undertake social action projects that impact and benefit local communities.

These projects, which are often delivered in partnership with local councils and police authorities, not only benefit the communities but are also a great learning opportunity and experience for these young volunteers.

Projects that are typically run are; clearing up litter and rubbish; running sports activities for local young people; running a kids’ holiday club; tidying up gardens for local residents; painting over graffiti; a community fun; day; car washing…

There are a number of ways you can ‘Get Involved’:

AS A CHURCH:

• You can host a project and impact your local community with help from Newday delegates.
• To do this you will need to be within 45-60 minutes travel time (by Coach) from the Norfolk Showground.
• To find out more go to www.thisislife.org.uk/getinvolved and download the guidance and requirements for hosting a project.
• The deadline for expressions of interest is the 3oth March 2012.

AS AN INDIVIDUAL:

• If you are part of a church located more than an hour from the Norfolk Showground (or your church does not wish to host a project) you can get involved as a volunteer.
• There are a variety of roles where the ‘This is Life’ team need help and assistance. These are as follows:
• Volunteers with evangelistic gifting able to run town centre outreach / evangelistic projects
• Volunteers to help run projects working with local churches who wish to host projects.
• Volunteers to help on the Newday site, i.e. helping with loading Newday delegates onto coaches.
• Individuals to join the ‘This is Life’ team who have specific skills in the areas of PR & Promotion (working with local press) and Fundraising & Sponsorship (completing applications to Trusts / approaching corporate sponsors).
• Depending on the level of involvement, discounts may be available in terms of booking into Newday.
