Your gift this Christmas will bring life-changing hope to young people in Africa
In recent years, we have run a series of special appeals for our Pathways from Poverty initiative at Christmas time.
This year, we are inviting you to support the next phase of the Community Empowerment Programme. Now the first facility is up-and-running we want to continue supporting our friends in Kenya as they look to open a further facility.
This facility will offer one-year apprenticeship-style courses in IT, electronics, masonry, media and community development. The team running the Community Empowerment Programme has already been working on the new building, called the Isiome Hope Centre.
The ground floor has already been renovated, but there is still a lot of work to be done in order to transform the rest of the building into workshops and training facilities. This is where they need our help! There is a long list of young people wanting to access this training. Once the facility is complete, the courses provided will help young people transition to the workplace by equipping them with the skills they need for employment.
In these communities young people are particularly vulnerable to radicalisation by extremist groups. Through the Community Empowerment Programme we can offer opportunities to education and work and offer an alternative hope for the future.
By giving this Christmas you can help these young people get trained, qualified and empowered to make better choices for their lives. Christmas is the time of year when we are often reminded how blessed we are, and how small acts of generosity when combined together can make a massive difference in the lives of the people who need it most.
We are looking to raise this year £70,000 (81,000 Euros) in order to complete the first floor of the Isiome Hope Centre. This is where the educational facilities are going to be based and the training is going to take place. This is where young lives are going to be transformed because of your giving today.
So we want to thank you for giving in the past. Because together we have made a real difference in the lives of people in Kenya. But this year we encourage you to give again and together we are going to empower people to make choices for their own lives and move forward into a different future.
So thank you so much for your support and please give generously!

Pathways from Poverty is an initiative of Relational Mission.
Wherever possible we will invest the majority of donations received directly into the appeal project. Accountability and transparency are amongst our key principles and we want to ensure that money raised is used effectively to meet the needs outlined and in line with the UK Charity Commission's good practice and regulation. As a result, a very small proportion of the appeal funds raised (no more than 10%) will be used to cover any associated governance, monitoring and promotional costs.
